is there any one else on this forum that reads books from the forgotten realms setting? if you dont, you should, they are excellent fantasy adventure novels.

I haven't but I am always looking for recommendations. Especially with summer coming....I'm going to need a good list of books to read. Is that a series of books?

it is a setting. i can recommend some of the series you should check out from the setting.
threat from the sea trilogy dark elf trilogy icewind dale trilogy war of the spider queen 6 book set finders stone trilogy legacy of the drow trilogy the year of rogue dragons trilogy the last mythal trilogy house of serpents trilogy
and some of the books from the harpers series are pretty good too.
just a note some of these are out of print so you may have to find them used.

That's cool. Thanks so much for the list. And about the out-of-print thing....that's fine. I have a used bookstore down the road that I frequent a lot. I try to stay out of those large cookie-cutter bookstores. If I can't find a book that I need there, I'll go search it out on Amazon or eBay.
Out of those that you mentioned, which would be the best (in your opinion) to chew on first?

to get a taste start with the dark elf trilogy first. the drow are a largely discussed race.
